Our
Company
Introduction
Since our inception in 1979 until the fairly recent past Avocet
Systems was an industry leader
in the field of high-performance development tools. Avocet has
become known as a pioneer in a wide range of embedded tools
development, from macro assemblers and C compilers, to simulators,
power analysis tools, and AvSYS, a processor-independent real-time
operating system (RTOS). In 1997 Avocet purchased 2500AD Software
and continues to develop and support this popular line of compilers,
assemblers, and simulators. Avocet Systems continued to grow
and expand steadily. In 1998 Avocet added another dimension
to its product line with the acquisition of Huntsville Microsystems
Inc. This brought in the HMI-200 in-circuit emulator line, an
old design but nevertheless quite popular. The Huntsville Background
Mode Debuggers were also popular, providing a real-time low
cost debugging and Flash programming
With the loss of key hardware development and support personnel
and other factors, Avocet Systems has retrenched in recent years,
no longer producing hardware, but continuing only with software.
