Introduction

Since our inception in 1979, Avocet Systems, Inc. has been an industry leader in the field of high-performance development tools. Avocet has become known as a pioneer in a wide range of embedded tools development, from macro assemblers and C compilers, to simulators, power analysis tools, and AvSYS, a processor-independent real-time operating system (RTOS). In 1997 Avocet purchased 2500AD Software and continues to develop and support this immensely popular line of compilers, assemblers, and simulators. Avocet Systems has continued to grow and expand steadily. In 1998 Avocet added another dimension to its product line with the acquisition of Huntsville Microsystems Inc. In addition to Avocet's already impressive array of software solutions, Avocet began offering hardware solutions, namely in-circuit debuggers and in-circuit emulators. With the phenomenal response to our USB-BMD Avocet is poised to experience continued growth in the new millennium.

Location

Avocet Systems is a privately held company headquartered in Rockland, Maine. This location houses Avocet Corporate Offices, Software Research and Development, Service, Sales, Marketing, as well as technical support departments for all of our tools. In December of 1999 Avocet purchased a new building (9,000 square feet) in Huntsville, Alabama to house hardware Production and Repair of our HMI Tools line.

In addition, Avocet products are distributed via Avocet's worldwide distribution system. This system is second to none in the industry for providing distribution to Canada, Europe, the Pacific Rim and other countries. Telephone and Email support for the HMI, Avocet/2500AD Tool lines is provided out of Avocet's Headquarters in Rockport, Maine. Highly skilled and experienced engineers are available each business day to provide technical assistance and product support. Web based FAQ pages for hardware are also available along with email support.
