no longer in production) Each processor class software supports
several variants of processor. No additional hardware is generally
needed for a specific variant (the only time extra hardware
is necessary is when a single chip version is being used). Selection
of the processor being used is done from a menu list in the
software.
We have two speeds of Target Interface Units (TIU) available.
Our standard TIU has an access time of 110 nanoseconds. This
works with most systems (8051 to about 15MHz and 6502 to about
4MHz etc..) Our high speed option decreases the access time
to 65 nanoseconds. There is an additional cost for the high
speed option. Check your design to see what memory access time
is required in your system.
Supported microprocessors must have some program storage in
external ROM (except for some 8051 processors), External watchdog
timers, Non-maskable interrupts, and ROM check sum routines
must be disabled while using the IDS for debugging.
