The HMI SPS-2000
in-circuit emulators provides the user with a state-of-the-art
development tool for PowerPC and 68060-based designs. Real-time
emulation up to 80MHz, multi-level breakpoint capability
with delay, and hardware-based software performance analysis
are just a few of the many features of this amazing product.
Specifications
Advanced
Technology Design
· Fully integrated multi-level sequencer logic and hardware-based
performance analysis
· Pods can be changed in order to support additional processors
· Backplane based design for high reliability and easy in-field
service
· Software updates via Flash firmware
Speed
· Real-time emulation up to 80MHz
Breakpoints
· 128 breakpoints can be set on any memory address or instruction
located in RAM, ROM, PROM, or Flash
· Can be virtually any complex event sequence
Events
· 8 Events can be any combination of addresses, address
ranges, specific data values, data ranges, status bits,
or an external trigger
· Status bits support read/write, program/data accesses,
and processor bus control signals
· Four 24-bit timer/counters can be driven by a variety
of sources for use in sequencer logic
Sequencer
· Supports AND, OR, NOT conditions in multiple Boolean combinations
· 8 levels of logic support up to 16 "IF-THEN-DO" sequences
per level
· Extensive "Do List" allows for multiple actions including
breaking, triggering, stop/resume trace recording, start/stop
timer, go to next level, etc.
Triggers
· 0 to 16 million trace cycles of delay can be used to capture
data around any point of interest
· 8 external inputs are traced and can be used for triggering
· Pulse and Level BNC outputs for triggering other test
equipment
Trace
· 128K cycles deep x 136 bits wide
· Shows any combination of source, disassembly or state
information that includes cycle, address, data, control
signals, and a 30ns time stamp
· Freeze buffer allows viewing while emulating
· Trace can be qualified on any event
· Full search capability
Overlay
